"I experienced a concerning electrical issue in my room that I reported to staff immediately. There was a loud crackling sound coming from the outlet area, which made me worried about a potential electrical hazard or fire risk.
I informed the front desk right away and was told the issue would be taken care of. However, when I returned several hours later, nothing had been addressed and the problem was still occurring. After raising the concern again with the late-night manager and explaining how serious it seemed, an electrician was finally called.
In the meantime, fans were brought to the room as a temporary solution, but they weren’t helpful since the outlets themselves were not working. At one point the manager attempted to troubleshoot the outlet herself using a metal utensil, which was concerning given the situation. I actually had to stop her because it could have been dangerous.
The issue was eventually fixed, but the delay in addressing what seemed like a serious electrical problem made the experience stressful and left me feeling unsafe in the room. I was very close to checking out and finding another hotel because of it.
I was also disappointed with the bathroom setup, as the shower design causes the entire bathroom floor to get wet whenever it’s used.
The location is great, but unfortunately the way this situation was handled really impacted my stay. I hope management takes safety concerns like this more seriously in the future and follows up appropriately."
