Our top choices for Dar es Salaam bed & breakfast

L &j modern backpackers BnB

3.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (2)
"No TV! It's a low budget dorm. It's not practical to have flat TV screens in every room because of the budget but they should have one in the sitting area. Other than that the services they offer exceed expectations based on what's paid."

Nefaland Hotel

3.5 star property
4.8 out of 10, (5)
"This is a pretty nice local hotel. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. I chose Nefaland because it is right across the street from the ABC Upper Class ticketing office. I use them when traveling to Iringa because I can board the bus directly at their office before they head out to the bus station on the limits of Dar es Salaam. So Staybg at Nefaland is great for that since the bus leaves at 5am. The only thing that I found disappointing was the lack of food availabilities on the menu. But...

Sawe Hotel

3.5 star property
6.6 out of 10, (14)
"The room was comfortable; the only problem was no mosquito net, and I was disturbed by mosquitos in the night. The lighting in the room was inadequate for reading. The service was also good, except the breakfast was meager. I was told breakfast was served from 6:30, and I cam at 7 and only found a boiled egg and watermelon, with tea or coffee, but no waiter to help me."
