"The location is absolutely fantastic for a visit to Charleston. You can easily visit downtown for sightseeing and shopping, but you can also get away and hang in a resort like setting. The property is showing significant signs of wear and could use a refresh. The mechanicals are also very loud and somewhat don’t do a great job maintaining the temperature. All said, I would still probably give it a 3-4 rating if it weren’t for the staff. With the exception of the shuttle driver and one concierge, all of the other staff members encountered were rude, dismissive, and not at all helpful. We don’t expect much when we travel, and are willing to overlook most issues if the service is good. Unfortunately, the staff at The Beach Club make it hard to overlook anything."
