Hotel Croatia

"Rooms are clean and spacious. We had a room facing the sea, and the room can be warm in the afternoon and early evening even with the shades closed. The view is incredible though. The front desk did not inform us of all the amenities the hotel offered (golf cart to beach and restaurant, beach chairs, etc), so ask during check in. The steakhouse restaurant was amazing, one of our favorite meals during our stay. This is a great hotel if you prefer to stay outside Dubrovnik and enjoy a little more calm and quiet."

"This hotel and property are amazing- 5 star all the way - every room has a view of the sea - the breakfast is wonderful they have everything you could want and more - you can eat outside in the sun if you choose - plenty of beach chairs - to go into town the bus stop is just across the street and you can buy tickets inside the hotel gift store - it’s worth the money"

"We had the best stay! We were just coming off a 7 day island topping yacht trip so being able to stay in one place and recoup was great. The Beach Club was lovely the restaurants were fabulous, the breakfast that's included was not only delicious but being able to enjoy it on a rooftop restaurant with outdoor space Enjoy the ocean view was a cherry on top. I had a great massage at the spa. The gym was better than most hotels. The only thing I didn't love was the building in front of the hotel that's under construction, blocking part of our view of the water. We did have a huge balcony so you could see the water from most of the balcony and from the bedroom."

"The property is located on top of a steep route with steps so anyone that plans to walk from the promenade or the ferry station, better come prepared. Our group was composed of 60 year olds and it was a challenge. I would probably avoid this hotel if you aren't renting a car and plan to walk down to the promenade. Room was clean but is very small. There is no place in the bathroom to keep your cosmetic bag. No luggage rack in the room so everything is on the bed. The shower was leaking. Good breakfast but with 5 buildings on the property and only one station for an omelette, we decided to skip. The staff for the most part are helpful but when we asked for an extra pod of coffee for the room, they said that you are allowed only 2 pods / day. Totally unnecessary. It's the small things that win customers not the splashy advertising."

"I will always remember the Sun Gardens hotel for its breath-taking views, their cheerful, helpful, and friendly staff, and for the legendary, world-class breakfast! I will also remember Sun Gardens for the endless stairs at the residence part of the hotel. It was quite a workout going up and down those stairs for five days. Next time we will probably stay in the actual hotel, where there are elevators!"
