"We've stayed in "nice" hotels around the world. The lobby of The Basics is stunning. One of the most beautiful hotel spaces we've seen. Our room was comfortable with a very good bed and some terrific features such as ambient lighting. However, our room lacked a dresser for unpacking our clothes. There were no safety bars in the shower. The provided slippers and sleeping clothes did not fit, even though we are not large people. The staff could not provide properly sized items. We had an upgraded room, which included "club level" privileges. The club room is pleasant, although not up to the standards of so many others. There is no service staff available. Very limited self-service beverage options and no breakfast or special food offerings. The beautiful rotunda lobby has massive bookshelves containing a wonderful, eclectic assortment of books, all available for your reading or perusal. Artwork abounds in this hotel. Check out the fabulous series of porcelain dolls on the second floor. We had breakfast in their dining room, and the menu was a mix of Western and Japanese dishes. It was OK. It's a short walk from the train station with many food choices in the neighborhood. Although the very best restaurants in Fukuoka are at least a ten-minute or more cab ride away."

"The cleanliness of the room is good no doubt is eco cleaning but daily the house keeper will change the clean towel & clear all rubbish. Air condition is ok don’t know it because is Feb temperature around 12 degree therefore the adjusted during the night feels abit warm. Overall the hotel is very convenient location within walking distance is the JR HAKATA STATION, CITY, Kitte OiOi big shopping mall & lots of restaurants with yummy local food & other cuisine. Thank you very much for JR Kyushu blossom hotel Hakata Chuo the mangement & team for their friendly,attentiveness & patience, this is definitely a best choice. I will be back again next visit to Japan. Breakfast no chance of trying it maybe during my next visit. "

"Stayed at Hotel New Otani Hakata and overall had a pleasant experience. The service was excellent—staff were polite, attentive, and always willing to help, which really made the stay comfortable. The hotel itself, however, feels a bit dated. The rooms and facilities are well-maintained but could benefit from some modernization. That said, the great service and convenient location still make it a solid choice for a stay in Fukuoka."

"We arrived to the hotel and found that it did look anything like the lovely clean and bright pictures we had seen listed. It was dark, and there were several stains dotted around the apartment from walls to sofa to carpet. This had already put us off, and then we opened the bathroom door to be greeted by the smell of raw sewage coming up from the drains. Due to arriving after an International flight, we made do and stayed for 1 out of the 2 nights booked. The next morning the smell had become 10x worse and was filling the apartment. I no longer felt comfortable staying here when I had paid over £160 for 2 nights, I expected far better, and booked myself into another hotel up to road to enjoy the last night of our stay in Fukuoka there. Along side this, we were greeted with very lacking kichen supplies, one kitchen knife, 4 spoons, a plate, 2 glasses and a pot come pan. No oil, no utensils to cook with. Other than the location and easy check-in / out I would unfortunately not recommend this property"

"Truly felt like a home away from home! Self contained apartment with you all need, including essential toiletries and towels for the amount of nights you're staying. The room was clean and in a great location, and the hostess was the kindest soul I had ever met. Will definitely come back when I return to the Fukuoka area. ありがとうございます! "
