"Really pleasant convenient accessible and straightforward accommodation very near central University campus. Very helpful and friendly staff.No tv so use mobile laptop for Netflix etc instead? Great breakfast with lots of choice included in price. Excellent value. Should be back again in 2 years for my niece's boyfriend's PhD ceremony. Thanks a lot"

Royal Beacon Hotel

"The hotel is ideally located in a quiet street and the parking was helpful. The view from the windows was a bonus, I could actually hear the waves. The room size was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of wardrobe & cupboard space, bright and airy and a fan provided which was useful. Bed was comfortable and staff in reception were really kind & helpful. One small slightly annoying factor was an air-lock or similar in upper room’s water system which did make a noise. Notwithstanding this I would definitely stay again."

"Very well-positioned hotel close to the center of the city and a local train station. It doesn’t have air conditioning in the rooms which usually doesn’t matter in the UK but we were there during a heatwave. However, they provide fans, and promptly switched one out when it didn’t work. Helpful staff."
