Hotels near Croton Landing Park

"As with most hotels in the $50-$70 per night range there are bound to be pro's and cons...pro's are the location is fairly convenient after leaving the Cuomo Bridge, the first exit, then about 10 min. to the hotel in Orangeburg. The hotel is in a residential area, so feeling unsafe was not a factor and parking was free and plentiful. Cons...The kid at the front desk was friendly, but very uninformed...when I asked if the hotel had an ice machine, he looked stunned and had no clue and seemed to care less. So, after check-in I looked for one and found it on the first floor, but it was not working, so on a hunch I checked on the 2nd floor in the same location and VIOLA!, there was a working ice machine...but, since there was no ice bucket in the room I had to fill up a plastic supermarket bag and put it in my soft-cooler and then into the fridge...which luckily did work. The room itself was OK, I had stayed at the Armani before so I knew what to expect...no microwave, only 1 in the lobby for some reason...lame! The room carpet clearly had not been sufficiently vacuumed as I found left-over cheerios and some other weird stuff laying about. The bathroom was fine, clean and the shower was hot with plenty of pressure, but there was a crack in the mirror. All n All this place needs a major upgrade, seems to be dyin...The lounge downstairs looked like it was abandoned, reminded me of a post-apocalypse scene from a movie...But, as I said for cheap money, you can't expect much more."

"Second time staying here, property is beautiful but our room needed some serious TLC. We had to ask to have our shower curtain swapped out bc it smelled so baldly of mildew and the room was not properly cleaned. We found a pill, sunflower seed and other random debris on the carpet. And these weren’t found in the depths of the corners but in plain view to anyone who should have been cleaning. We enjoy staying here otherwise but they do need to be better"

"The hotel was horrible. The reception area smelled like cat piss. They over did it with the fabuloso and or pine sol where it irritated the nose. You had to go to the lobby to get ice. You had to go to the lobby to pick up any food delivery. I wouldn’t stay here if the next stay was free."

"When i arrived and got to my room i realized my toilet wouldn’t fully flush so i mentioned it to the engineer who was addressing the same issue across the hall. When i got back later i could see that the issue wasnt resolved. So i let the front desk know when they sent me a status text message. I received another text once the issue was supposedly resolved. Nope. It wasn’t. They should have moved me to a different room. Hard to have guests over when your toilet wont flush."
