The hotel was clean. The staff were courteous and helpful but the only problem which was never solved was the clogged tub in the bathroom. Water is slowly draining down the tub.

Room was very clean as was the bathroom/shower. i did have a problem with the kettle keep cutting out mid boil. Also one of the lamp switches by the bed was missing. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Paid for parking. No remote control and when 2 were found I found out it's because you couldn't get a picture. No milk for tea. Bed was clean but surfaces marked and dusty (a big problem as I have a dust allergy). Like warm tap water not hot enough for a shower. Bar closed and breakfast wasn't available.

Hotel chosen for handy location for railway station. Had stayed before under different ownership. Gradually improving facilities, now has a decent breakfast available from quite early so very useful. Room was clean and tidy with everything you need and reasonably priced.

Knew hotel under previous management and mainly booked for location near railway station. Gradually making improvements including availability of breakfast (personally would have preferred better quality sausages but they were adequate invwhat is basically a budget hotel). Clean and convenient- stayed on hottest days so room was a bit too hot, but that wasn't hotels fault!

I called before I booked to check if the hotel had air conditioning and the person on the phone said yes every room has it. When I arrived I was told it has been broken for ages abd it doesnt work, I wouldnt have stayed there if I'd had known this. The room was nice enough but like a sauna it was unbearable.

I have stayed here previously (and many times before under a previous ownership) and it is simple and unpretentious, with all that I would expect. Friendly receptionist, pleasant and clean room with all the facilities I expected, and a very comfortable bed.
