Coventry City Centre Hotels near Birmingham

"Great vibe and decor - and a brilliant town centre location. The original features which have been retained give the hotel great character. We paid extra for a 'Big Double' room - and would definitely recommend this if you think you might want to spend the odd evening in your room. The extra 1.5-2m (est) across the whole length of the room meant there was space for a small table and two chairs, which were comfy enough to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching TV. Breakfast disappointed slightly compared to other four star hotels we've stayed in due to: the lack of variety of breads (conventional sliced being the only wholemeal option available) and the lack of choice if you can't have strawberries (strawberries in the fruit compote every day and no honey available, so only a few seeds and dried fruit to go in natural yoghurt) and no jams other than strawberry available (marmalade, nutella or marmite being the only other options) - honey would have made a difference here too. No issues with cleanliness or noise (although we had specifically requested a room on the quieter side of the building). Other than that, a great stay and would happily recommend the Telegraph to anyone wanting to stay within easy walking distance of everything you need."

"All the staff were excellent- hard-working, helpful and cheerful. We attended a concert at Symphony Hall so the hotel was ideally placed. Our room was clean, spacious with a walk-in shower. Breakfast was self serve with loads of choice although no one seemed to figure out how the pancake machine worked. We had a very good stay. Our only criticism is the lack of signage on the hotel exterior which made it quite difficult to locate. "

"Good size room with comfy beds and nice in room extras (hot chocolate and biscuits). Very convenient for NEC venues (short walk). Free parking and pool/jacuzzi a bonus. 2pm check in have plenty of time to relax before evening concert at pulse arena. Would stay again."

"A comfortable, clean room and good tea facilities. Breakfast in the morning catered widely with fresh food, cheerful greeting, self service and catered well for gluten free. Fantastic staff to greet you when you first arrive and help with anything you may ask. I would definitely return whenever travelling to Birmingham. Thank you. "

"The breakfast was buffet style breakfast, hot food (sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, crispy potatoes, black pudding) pastries, toast, bread, cereals, continental style meats and cheeses. The room was clean and spacious, bath with shower. Slept really well. Room was warm, although if I'd had a look at the thermostat I'm sure it would've been fine. Even though the hotel is on a busy street and roundabout. You'd never know, so quiet. Staff really freindly and helpful. Close to the trian station and 10 minute walk to the Bullring"

"The rooms are a dormitory style, it has an air conditioning unit. It is quiet and is modern. It was very good value. The duvet is very thin, and should be thicker. The breakfast is very basic, it consists of pastries, cereal , coffee and tea. It had no fruit or t bags. It did not have much choice."
