"Generally overall a good stay and right next to the beach and Fairmont Hotel. Restaurants, night market and shopping all within walking distance. Good for walks along beach. Hotel balcony has great views. Gym is very very basic but a day pass can be bought for 50rs and there is a chain of smart fit gyms. Breakfast at hotel is excellent and would recommend to start the day with. Breakfast is optional at about 25rs per person. Hotel rooms basic but good. Overall a pleasant stay close to all nearby amenities."

"Of all locations on Copacabana, we found this to be the best. You can walk over to Ipanema if you want. This end of Copacabana is a little bit more quiet than the middle of the Copacabana across from the Copacabana Palace, which we were actually very happy about. They have a great view from the upstairs pool. The beach is very convenient right across the street and it’s not a very wide beach so you don’t have to track for miles they provide you free chairs and umbrellas. The staff was unbelievably helpful and kind. Super nice people. Made you feel very welcome frankly I couldn’t give you a better rating if I could. I have been all over the world and for the Price, this is a phenomenal hotel."

"Good location and a staff that was, for the most part, friendly, professional, and attentive. Special thanks to Maria da Saúde and Rosângela from Housekeeping for taking such great care of our room, and to Renata at the Front Desk for her kindness, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Unfortunately, our experience with Veronica, who appeared to be the Front Desk supervisor, was the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, she barely acknowledged us, avoided even basic eye contact, and came across as dismissive and arrogant. Her attitude was not what we expected from a luxury hotel. We paid almost US$500 for an extra night simply to keep a room until the evening before our flight. Even then, after a nine-night stay, we were told we had to change rooms because ours was needed for another guest. It wasn’t the room change itself that was disappointing, but the complete lack of flexibility and consideration from management. Room 1234, especially the bathroom, is also in need of renovation and does not reflect the standards of a luxury hotel. While the staff made every effort to provide excellent service, the management’s handling of our stay fell well below the level of hospitality expected from the Fairmont brand."

"From the moment you enter to the moment you get to your room eve thing is clean and they really put effort to presentation. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Security 24/7. Room was clean and with everything you may need or might had forgotten. The beach view was amazing. And the atmosphere everything. Highly recommended. Breakfast menu was the same everyday but either enough options to enjoy something differently daily. Great location at a great price."

"Fantastic stay, really enjoyed it. My only recommendation for the property would be to add a wash station for the beach in front of the hotel, the lobby is very nice, but there was no way to wash your feet and legs off from the beach! Having a spray bottle is not really good enough, you need a garden hose or plumbed in wash station."
