"Good location, within walking distance to most points of interest. Rooms are spacious, and clean. Unfortunately, you hear a lot of noise from the hallway in the room. Very nice view from the upper floors. Good water pressure, elevators are a bit slow and 3 of 4 were working. Staff are friendly professional and very helpful. Onsite restaurant and coffee shop, otherwise many restaurants are within walking distance. "

"The staff was very friendly. The Suite, 1 Bedroom, Corner (One Queen Bed with Sofa Bed) was fine but the view was terrible. Got the room because the pictures online made the giant corner windows and view look amazing. That was not remotely the case. Also the air conditioner unit (pretty sure that’s what it was) in the ceiling of the room was very loud. Had to close the bedroom door to try to dull the noise. "

"Our room was ready hours before check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The room was on the 5th floor and was in a decent (albeit tired) condition. The floors were clean, but there was dust in the bathroom and main bedroom, and crumbs/dried food from a previous guest near the armchair. The air con did not work, but we were lucky that the window opened and let in some breeze. We ordered room service three times during our stay, twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Between our first and second nights, the menu changed; the reception sent up a "new" menu that was exactly the same as the one in our room. Ordering food was not a seamless experience. Breakfast was ordered for a 6.15am arrival, and we were called at 5.30am to be told that the omelettes were no longer available as they were not on the new menu. Receiving a call at 5.30am to be told that an item with three ingredients is no longer available could have been avoided if the hotel used consistent menus. Is the Fairmont an aesthetically beautiful hotel? Yes. Are the finishes and tech outdated? Absolutely. Are the staff helpful and kind? Sort of. Would I stay again? No."
