It sits at the heel of the peninsula, at the southern end of the wide Sado estuary, sandwiched between dense forest and the Atlantic. The village is lovely and has affordable places to stay. You can get in that place by ferry from Setúbal to Tróia.

"Five-star hotel with true five-star service! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and went out their way to make our stay enjoyable. Facilities are stunning (on newer side) and good amenities with tennis/paddle/pickelball courts, gym and heated pool. Only thing missing for a five-star hotel at that price range would be a sauna and/or steam room. Breakfast was included and very good. Would stay again."
