Top Cleveland Hotel Reviews

Cross Keys Hotel by Chef and Brewer Collection
8/10 Good
"Used as a weekend visit to Guisborough and the surrounding area. The hotel is only a few minutes' drive from the centre of the town, which has an array of street and other car parking. I understand that it is also possible to travel by bus from outside the hotel, but I did not explore this further.
The hotel itself has a welcoming beer garden, but there is nothing around it that you might walk to.
The hotel has a huge free car park, and the reception we had from Ben was first class. The bar was smart, well-used by locals with a good choice of drinks in comfortable surroundings. Our room was a twin on the first floor. Had all that you would expect at the price point charged. Overall decent value.
We ate our evening meals in the restaurant. Good menu with again a reasonably priced choice of meals. Quality decent with good sized portions
All in all, a good experience if you are visiting the area."

Gisborough Hall
10/10 Excellent
"Clean, great history on show. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Plus a nice breakfast to choose from. Impressed."

The Locomotion Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Shocking, even at the price point of £40:00.
No matching bedding, toilet ran all
Night. The
System continued fill with water.
The furniture was way passed its sell by date, two of the drawers had NO BOTTOM to them. The pillows were very thin, I have thicker pillow protectors at home.
The best thing was it was 4 minutes walk to the train station to get away and back to LONDON.
Oh and did I mention the pigeons in the hotel loft space.
Sorry to say I would not stay there again."

The Beachside
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were so friendly and helpful. Updated me when they had changed my booking due to maintenance works.
It was overall a lovely stay."

"Clean room, good location, free overnight parking outside. Room had everything it needed despite being small. Just quite hot and could hear the heating turning on and off. Easy security. Good for a one night stay. "

The Lakeside
6/10 Okay
"Called craig for check in, was greeted with him with a blood all around his nose telling us hes not well and his girlfriend had noroviris. Don't think I've used as much hand santiser since 2020.
Other was room looked good and spacious good for a night or two.
Good location,
The boathouse cafe over the road is a great too and just over road for for breakfast."

Old Mill Tiny Homes

The King's Head Inn - The Inn Collection Group
6/10 Okay
"The room was clean, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable. There wasn’t a way to reach staff from the room without leaving the room to go across to the bar. We did enjoy having a fan in the room to circulate air. We strongly recommend not having a TV in the breakfast area. We and other guests discussed how watching and listening to the news spoiled the experience and peace of dining together. Staff between shifts provided very different levels of service and experience. One group was more warm, inviting, and informative."
