"We chose this hotel because of its central location for touring Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Spearfish, Deadwood, etc. The location was perfect. The online photos don’t do this hotel justice. The rooms were clean, spacious, and nicely furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful, like they were welcoming you to their own house. The included breakfast was excellent. They even had a free of charge “managers reception” in the afternoon with wine, beer, soft drinks. All in all, this hotel was a big step up from the usual chain hotel. It is more of a luxury hotel at a reasonable price."

"Was quiet. Our room faced the lake. Should of brought some steaks as there was.a grill outside our room. Sat outside in the morning watching the birds and saw some deer. The room was really clean. Older but with character so lots of creaks but didn't mind. Would stay here again"
