Thames Head Inn

"On our arrival staff were very welcoming, and remained friendly and polite throughout. We had an evening meal in the pub which was delicious and reasonably priced. If you want an evening meal here, I would recommend making a reservation as it was full and I heard staff having to turn people away. If you’re looking for a modern hotel this is not the place for you, it’s a beautifully decorated olde world place that incorporates some of the mod cons of today’s world, I.e. WiFi, kettle and tv. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and opened directly on to a shared courtyard with tables and chairs allocated to each room which is a pleasant place to sit and relax especially given we were in a heat wave when we visited. The direct access made life easier for us as we had our dog with us, so could take her for her walks without having to trudge through the hotel to do so. The breakfast was tasty and freshly made, with a range of options available. The only negative was someone was filling their van at 5.00am which woke us and people were chatting loudly outside at around 7.30. I don’t know if either of these were people from the hotel or from the neighbouring properties/motor home park that is located on the same plot. Overall, we would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again when travelling down south"

"Fabulous hotel and apartments that exceeded our expectations, Plenty to do and walks were amazing. Food / drink was great with plenty of choice and inside our apartment was absolutely gorgeous , plenty of space with everything you could possibly want and breathtaking views . We certainly look forward to returning."

"We loved staying here between our visit to Oxford and Bath. The house was very comfortable and gave us the feel for the Cotswolds even though we only stayed one night. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was hospitable. The price of our May stay was extremely affordable and we feel we got our money’s worth by far. We just loved this place!!"

"Clean. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Room was large. Bed was comfy, pillows were not. Aircon did not seem to work but we were able to leave door to outside partly open. Overall good place to stay and the CEO answered my issue with a service charge very promptly which was appreciated. Would recommend a stay here."

"Beautiful property, wonderful staff, good food. The properties was a bit noisy at night due to bar patrons, but the hotel provides earplugs. There were a few lights out in the bathroom and the towel warmer did not work, but nothing major to impact the comfortability."
