"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. "Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice. The temperature may be on a hot side but i think it is pretty standard. The tub was indeed made of wood (I assume hinoki).The place seemed to have a fair number of...

"We staid one week at the Holiday Inn in Omachi. The Hotel is closely located to the transportation system to Murodo if you are interested for mountain hikes up to or around Mt. Tateyama. We felt very comfortable staying at the hotel enjoying the Onsen and our spacious quiet room. The buffet dinner had good selections changing every other night. The hotel is centrally located if you like to go to Hakuba or Matsumoto."

"Really old school place, we had it to our selves for our three nights. The breakfast is worth it. The Onsen is fairly dated and there are some places that would require removing the cobwebs."

"This is one of the best resorts you can possibly stay at. Everything is 10/10. It is all in one for everything you need. Note that the area it is in only has hotels for the most part, so it is difficult to get to a convenience store if you have no car. About an 8 minute uber which will run you about $20 USD round trip if you need something. Although often the resort has all you need. And they have bus service for free to the ski resort. I couldnt praise this resort more highly."

"Stayed in the suite as we had 6 people on this trip, including 2 younger children. Children thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Dining options were solid and most of the customers were local. This place specializes in hot spring baths, which are the main attraction. Most everything else will require a car to get around for."

"It’s all about dogs there. Love how the Japanese love their furkids. Hygiene measures, dog runs, dog onsen with humans, dogs can access everywhere in this hotel, even the restaurants."
