"The day before I left, I mentioned to an employee that I needed a taxi for my daughter and me to go to the airport the next day. He informed me that I'm asking too late and that I should have asked 2 days before leaving. An awkward exchange took place in which he tried to teach me that 'it doesn't work that way'.I would accept that at a 1 or 2 star property but not at a 5 star. "We loved our stay at Riad Mazar! It is a truly special property. It is unbelievably beautiful and the owner, who is also an antiques dealer, has clearly put a lot of time and love into it. Upon our very late arrival, we were greeted warmly with tea and an explanation of the Riad. Our room was amazing - comfortable, clean, and lots of space. The bed was so comfortable and the decor was beautiful. We had such a nice stay and immediately felt at home. Breakfast every day was the best we’ve had on our trip so far. The food was plentiful and delicious, and everything was explained thoroughly. The riad is well located and it is easy to get anywhere. There are also lots of places throughout the road to relax out of the Fes heat and the hustle and bustle of the streets. Overall, I highly recommend Riad Mazar for those staying in Fes. If we could have stayed longer we would have! A wonderful experience."

"The hotel is situated in amongst the lanes so very convenient for shopping but very close to the tannery if the smell is an issue [did not smell inside the hotel] - arrived in car and satnav took us to an area that was full of locals and fairly intimidating - I walked up to the hotel [most people helpful on directions] and was greeted by VE~RY nice staff and one came down with me to negotiate a parking spot! All a little sketchy but we left the car and it was still there when we left! The hotel is beautiful inside and very boutique styled with a lovely atmosphere. The owner was lovely and very knowledgable as was the main guy Mahdi he was always available for help or advise, as were all the staff to be honest. Overall I would say it is a lovely hotel and would stay there again"
