"The Summit Street Inns was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff is lovely and super accommodating. The breakfast was in an elegant room with lots of variety. The cook even cooked my husband freshly cooked eggs! I highly recommend this wonderful historic house. It has a wonderful ambiance and is close to lots of restaurants. "

"Hotel was clean and staff was nice but area was a bit shady. Lots of pot smoking in parking lot, and back of motel is facing a loud freeway where you can see mattresses and homeless people. Pool was closed ( it was spring so not too disappointed but would have loved to have been able to sit outside. I had taken my daughter to see a friend so was taking a couple of days to relax and hotel was not really conducive for that."

"the rooms are large, terrifically furnished, clean, great bedding/pillows, huge TV, fast wifi.... it is a superb value - and when in Winston, it will be my go too place."

"The facility has been upgraded sometime in recent years, but there are a few areas that still show some age. Elevator door and frame, shower faucet and knobs, room doors, but overall pretty good. Staff was very good. Lots of choices for breakfast buffet. Stayed here twice in last year."

"Our room smelled like cigarettes and the bathroom stunk terribly. There was mold all over the walls and what looked like rat poop under the bed. The rest of the floor was dirty as well. We did not feel comfortable staying there, especially with our one-year-old. We slept horribly, woke up feeling sick from breathing in the mold, and left as quickly as we could. The woman at the front desk was kind in our interactions, but when we tried to get a refund, the manager, whose permission was needed, was hard to get a hold of. The staff would not respond to our messages online and we had to call 5 or 6 times. They did end up refunding us for the second night we were planning to stay but refused to refund us for our entire stay. We would not recommend staying here. "
