"Great stay - the Hampton Inn is a dependable brand, we have found, and have stayed in many nationwide. Their beds are good too and a decent bed (mattress, bedding) is really central to a good hotel stay — in my book, anyway; the Hampton Inn comes through. My wife stayed here with a toddler this visit, who loved all the cabinets and drawers in the room, and put a toy/clothes in each place, so the next guest *might* find a plastic purple unicorn in the dresser (maybe?) Staff is courteous and professional. There is also a pool, and it is not far from 99 with a bunch of restaurants (with a variety of cuisines, including diners, chains, Mexican and taco trucks, sushi, Chinese, and more) nearby (driving distance), so I’d call it a solid choice for the weary traveler - or anyone visiting (we were seeing family)."

"This grand old hotel has been completely refurbished and very well done indeed. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The room was impeccably clean. The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Chico. The only negative was the TV did not work properly. It was supposed to have the common streaming channels (e.g., Netflix) but even a staff person could only get network stations."
