Staff from the front desk to the house keepers were all kind and so helpful even in the middle of their change over(being taken over by Marriot) the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Great spot if youre a solo traveler or 2 people as the rooms are small.
The staff was polite and very helpful, but I can’t say anything good about the property. The rooms (and I was moved twice so I saw 3 of them) are small, dark, cramped, and have poor layouts. The blinds were broken in all three rooms, though there is probably nothing to see anyway except for a brick wall, unless you’re in a room facing Wells Street. The shower handle was very iffy, the hot water slow, the sheets terrible (though the pillows were good). It’s a great location and if you want to stay a night or two it’s probably not too bad but there are a dozen hotels within a half a mile with comparable rates. The building, I later found out, was formerly a hostel. Though it has the Marriott name on it you shouldn’t confuse it with a great place to stay. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I was feeling generous. Once again, not the staff’s fault, they were great.

Rooms are small, but overall nice. Biggest problem was arriving, having a room assigned, then going up to the room to find maintenance inside doing preventative work. Went back down, got a new room, new room’s bathroom sink drain didn’t work. So went back down again to get it resolved. They offered to have maintenance come and fix it right then. Unsure if this was a quick fix or not, we asked for another room. They were able to put us in the original room in a couple of hours so we left our bags, went to eat and when we came back the room was ready and our bags already in there. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, rooms need to be checked out and overhauled where needed before they have a big problem on their hands.
Gym access for free down the street was a really great perk. Coffee in lobby was decent, better than regular hotel lobby coffee!
Very loud at night due to club next door, walls are super thin so you can also here all the goes on in hallway and neighboring rooms. No fridge, microwave, chair, or even a pen and paper were provided. View was also right into someone else’s room!
The shower water pressure was terrible. The water pressure would change frequently while showering. The temperature as well was not consistent and would require a lot of tinkering with the handle to get it back to the temperature that was like. The hotel towel request took 10 hours to bring fresh towels. The elevator while assured was safe made a very unpleasant sound as it went through all the floors.

We had booked three nights at the hotel. However, they neglected to clean the room daily or provide us with fresh towels. When we requested a change of clean towels, they promised to bring them but never did.

Skip this hotel. Their deadlocks do not work on ANY hotel doors and the staff is aware and still checking people in. They apologized and told me to use the latch. So unsafe. I got a full refund and booked elsewhere.
My room was by the elevators which was a noisy location, not recommended if you want deep sleep. Air conditioning would transition to auto set which was different from my preference, would have liked it more if it would stay at my set temperature. A good view from the window would have enhanced the experience but that’s fine since i was outdoors most of the time. Overall, neat and clean. Downtown location was the biggest perk!

The AC unit was very loud. The walls were very thin, I literally woke up middle of the night 5 times due to someone flushing their toilet. Ridiculous. Wont be staying here again.
