  • We woke up before 4am and walked through some dark narrow paths and uphill climbs, past houses with their residents still asleep, just to get to this lookout point in Cheung Chau Island's Mini Great Wall. As we got there, rain clouds were starting to form - looming over the islands of Hong Kong with its bright lights, and Lamma with the towering power plant structures, - creating this dramatic morning scene. It was definitely well worth the arduous hike.

Little outdated motel. But overall very clean and staffs are very friendly. I would like to stay there again, as it's very close to the beach. Quick tips: don't come in weekend, it will be very crowded.

Hotel is out-dated, breakfast is expensive. My room’s air conditioning can only either turn on OR off, unable to control temperature. When it was really cold, I can only turn it off during night time then a terrible smell in the room and even woke me up as it affected my breathing problem. The view from the room was really nice, I heard some pounding sounds from above during late night.

The room is basic and old. Only one location that you could plug in your sockets, which is behind the TV and is extremely inconvenient. Only 2 USB A are location at one side of the bed, nothing else. This means that your partner cannot charge her device while sleeping and I am using type C wire. Therefore, I cannot charge up my device too!! The towels are dirty and have stain. The breakfast is a set menu and is very basic and what you could choose is egg and egg and egg, which is the main. No gym is provided. The only recreational activities provided by the hotel is BBQ, which of course need to pay extra. Though the price should have given you some hints, I am sure the hotel could do better.

If you want the view only then go for it. So ask yourself are you going to stay in the room the whole day just for the view. Cheong Chau is an island, one can get beautiful seaview outdoor. We did not book this place for the view from the balconey. We wanted twin beds which is not easy to find in the abnb on the island. The bathrooms are really dirty and some of them are clogged. Can see dust everywhere on table tops. Simply put if we can find 2 twin rooms elsewhere, we wouldn't stay there. Did read reviews contributed by others who have been there and we were sort of prepared metally.

shower not working, pillow too high, the carpet is old ( the rooms with balcony has already got a wooden floor but not all the rooms) Everything is quite run down. The hotel could be a nice one, need to refurbish, and the old rooms should not be used anymore. It will only further destroy the reputation of the hotel
