"Lovely hotel, but was disappointed that the suit I booked had a very old very uncomfortable sofa bed, with the worst mattress and they had put an old brown wool blanket on it. Also the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. "
"Such a wonderful stay! So personal, clean, beautifully decorated! The property is so peacedul. Our host and hostess were wonderful and served up the best breakfasts we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy!!! "
"Everything was beyond expectations! Staffs were very nice, room was spotlessly clean and convenient. If we have a chance to visit Saint-Emilion again, we would definitely stay at this hotel again! "
"We stayed for 2 nights and it could not have been better. The staff was so helpful and provided us with recommendations and reservations. The restaurant was superb and an unbelievable experience. The suite was amazing. Thank you Hotel de Pavie for making our trip to Saint Emelion exceptional. "
"Christophe and Christine the property managers were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and chateaus to visit. The breakfasts each morning were incredible: fresh baked croissants and bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to preference. The location nestled in among the vineyards was picturesque and very quiet. The total experience far exceeded our expectations and I hope we can make a return trip."
"Ignore first brown door and go to next one to open access to Chateau. Breakfast is excellent and staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and quality of furnishings in chateau is outstanding "

"Everything you would expect from a five star resort
EXCEPT the hotel recommended wine tour which was poor no vine yard just a sales pitch of very expensive wine from a self promoting guide who soon lost interest when he didn’t see the big sale..
The quality of this recommendation soured the overal experience ."
"Badon Boutique is an excellent place to stay in St Emilion, Staff were so helpful, Parking is a real problem in this very popular tourist town but there is spacious parking albeit having to navigate beforehand through the narrow cobbled streets. There are wine shops all around you, including their own. Fabulous restaurants just meters away, including the outstanding L’Huterie Pie, just across the street. If you want to stay in St Emilion ( and you do to stroll the lanes after the tour buses have gone, stay here!!"

"Fantastic hotel in a gorgeous and quiet village close to St Emilion. Absolutely loved it! Hotel also has an amazing Michelin restaurant with super reasonable prices."
"Booked and paid in JANUARY. Arrived 16:00 (check-in allegedly from 14:00). Place was locked; could not make anyone hear us. Waited 30 minutes before finding another hotel. Had also booked dinner but the sign outside said the restaurant was closed on Tuesday (the day of our stay). Contacted hotels.com to request full refund - this was apparently refused by the hotel (though hotels.com personnel said they couldn’t really communicate with hotel very well as the staff there only spoke French. Er… it’s a French hotel!!!). Eventually given £25 in award points - well under half what we had paid five months earlier! VERY unhappy with the whole situation!"
"The proprieter and his wife are very interested in pleasing their guests. The accommodation was quite lovely..........but up a steep flight of circular stairs. It lacked a seating area and a chest of drawers.
The home-made jams ere wonderful when matched with the fresh croissants in the morning."
