Charleston hotel rooms a the Relais & Chateaux

"Rooms were good size. Breakfast options were good. HI location was close to Charleston places to visit, restaurants, and shopping."

"Staff was super nice. My room was comfortable and clean. It's an inexpensive hotel so expect that it lacks things like coffee makers. My only real complaint is not about the property itself it's the location. While it is convenient to get to Folly Beach and Charleston there are very limited restaurants in the immediate area even to grab something quick unless you want McDonalds which is next door. I wouldn't have used the pool but note that it is covered and not in working order. But for an inexpensive place to stay the bed was comfy the room was clean the A/C worked and I slept well. Not sure I would stay again mainly because this area is just so congested and the lack of restaurants. Everything seems to be 1/2 hour away even if it's only 5 miles. It just takes that long to get anywhere. I had a room with a microwave and refrigerator but even the closest Publix seemed to take 20 minutes to get to. There is a Piggly Wiggly next door however I am not sure it was open. Many places in this area are closed or run down."

"Room was small but clean, staff is really nice except for the manager. Their computer system is horrible and was messed up, rooms getting messed up. People getting double booked in rooms. Walking in on other people who are in those rooms. Manager was no help. Left his front desk, girls to deal with everything."

"Walkable location, very helpful and kind staff, EXPENSIVE, - very slightly dated but clean rooms - noisy with concurrent events at this location - weddings, etc…"

"Had requested a pack and play and it was all set up when we arrived. We also received early check in which was wonderful with a fussy baby! The pool was a little scary which was a disappointment especially coming from snowy Canada. Otherwise a nice stay!"

"Booker beware! They overbooked and when we arrived we were informed they didn’t have our reservation available. We had pre paid through Expedia had nowhere to stay and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get a refund. Shaunte at the front desk was incredibly rude. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Even though it may be inexpensive, please please don’t book this hotel it is not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere. "

"Overall, wonderful stay. The pool and Little Palm was great! The rooms were cute and the coffee shop was convenient. However, our room was a Premier King and, for the amount we paid, we had no view (completely covered by bush and gate, felt a bit jailish), the room was incredibly loud as it backed up to the restaurant, and the staff wasn’t as friendly as expected. We had a nice time all in all, but the ROI was lacking. "
