"The location of this property is very good. It is in close proximity to the City Market and many restaurants and bars. This is a boutique hotel and everything seems to be on a 7/8ths scale. The rooms are small, the hallways are small and the common areas are small. The rooftop pool is nice, but small. One big plus about the pool is that the water is evidently cooled, which is fantastic when its 96 degrees with 80% humidity. Valet parking is very expensive at $58 per day, but your vehicle is in an underground garage directly under the hotel. Because the location of this property is in historic downtown, parking is limited. There are parking garages but they charge every time you go in and out. The bar adjacent to the pool area is expansive but the prices are high and the service is mediocre at best. We did not eat food there because the bar atmosphere was not great. There's a coffee shop at the front of the hotel where they have a limited offering of 'continental type' breakfast garb & go items. Again, expensive with apathetic service. Lastly, watch your final bill. We were charged a smokers fee for $500. We do not smoke and did not get the email copy of the bill until we were back home. I suspect that this happens a lot because the front desk clerk immediately referred me to the general manager who credited our bill. They allegedly use some type of monitoring device that is easily faulty."
