"Perfect hotel before a flight"

"The hotel is in Gatwicks Sth Terminal so is very convenient, minutes away from Nth Terminal by shuttle. The room was small (as wide as our bed was long The bathrpom was functional but we had trouble finding how to get Hot water. We did eventually manage, the shower was the room, so wet floor for other users. Overnight stay ok but nowhere to unpack anything so longer stays would be difficult. Again as 80 somethings we would not use it again. Youngsters would be fine. Not sure how a family would manage. The reception staffwere very pleasant but we saw no evidence of others except those doing rooms"

"The whole property needs taken care of and updated. The room was very basic with a standard double bed in a large room. The linen was old and worn. The TV was very small and hang off the wall like a misplaced picture. The pine furniture was old and had a sticky film on top. The bath th was too high to step into and wasn’t the the correct shape to stand in while showering. As stated everywhere needed help and upgrading."

"Standard of hotel staff has fallen over the past year or so. Ignored while waiting to check in , staff burst into the room at around 9.35AM On a sunday after one knock. No time to even reach the door. Then didnt leave the room until i turned to look after about 40 seconds. No apology . After the staff left the room there was then continuous banging along the corridor and slamming of doors. Staff talking Loud I dont know whether the staff are students or what. But they havent been trained how to treat all guests with respect. I used to enjoy staying here but now after a few years ive noticed the standards have declined and unfortunately will most likely be the last stay here ."
