"Exceptional staff and a very reliable, clean stay I had a great experience at Matiz. The hotel is simple but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, and while the internet was just "ok" (could be a bit faster), it got the job done. What truly set this stay apart was the incredible service. I realized upon arrival that I had accidentally made my Expedia reservation for the wrong date. Instead of turning me away, the staff identified the issue immediately and accommodated me for the correct dates without any hassle. They are an amazing team that clearly puts the guest first. "I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before, I like that this is the only hotel in this city with a pool, nice restaurant, kid friendly yard areas. The hotel is well located, quiet and safe. But the rooms need urgent improvement. Room had an old rusted mini bar and furniture were bit up. The room was extremely filthy upon arrival and it did not get better any time after. Cleaners did a horrible job and often left us without toilet paper, soap and clean towels. Beds did not have proper sheet sets and towels were after stained and dirty. The floors and shower walls were an absolutely disgusting the whole time. Tv had no internet connection and trash cans were broken and rusted. "

"My bad thing is if you go out when you come back late at night you have to ring the bell. The person who is there is sleeping so you have to wake up them for open the door for you."
