One King West Hotel & Residence
10/10 Excellent
"Honestly I will likely return. I only travel 4-5 star properties and consider myself reasonably picky. NOTE - the location of Google Maps might take you to the King street address but the door is hard to find and the better entrance ehich is also slightly hidden, but the required entrance for late arrivals is on Melinda street which is this tiny street behind King and connects to Yonge. The checkin was a little long. But the rest was really perfect. Staff was great. The lounge and eating area is all indoor so in my opinion better for winter or evening atmosphere - if you’re looking for a well lit bar or terrasse this is not the place. But the location is so amazing you’ll find something. Live music Thursdays - the band was exceptional for the ambiance. Stayed in the tower section on 15th floor because I can’t do higher. Kitchenette ended up being practical for late night snacks and LCBO is just across the street. Connected to King station. Less than 10 min walk to Union station. Walked to Dundas square and shopping. You can probably do it all underground via Path but I walked outside( straight yo Yonge street."

"I had a great stay at the hotel overall. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the shower was honestly amazing! 😮 The front desk staff were cordial, professional, and answered all of my questions properly. My only issue was that there was work being done directly outside my window, which disturbed my sleep and caused me to wake up earlier than I had planned. It would have been greatly appreciated to receive a heads-up about any facility repairs or exterior work taking place during the stay, especially if it may affect guests’ ability to sleep. Outside of that, I really enjoyed my stay and had a positive experience overall."
