"This hotel has an amazing location!! Close to everything and the staff were very helpful calling cabs, giving directions or helping you use the trolley or bus system. The rooms are just standard hotel rooms, nothing special or different. However the ice machines did not work on multiple floors, for whatever reason the rooms on our floor were never cleaned until we asked about it on day #4. The air conditioning would randomly go out then come back on so you were either freezing or burning up. When this was mentioned they literally ignored it. I booked a room including the "resort $25 per day option for the perks" when I get there I get 3/4 of the perks and when I question it the front desk clerk acted like I owed her something for asking why I was being denied the additional perk. I had to loop in the manager and he just passed the buck saying it was expedia's fault. No sir, it was not - your desk clerks messed up and need to own up to it. I paid the hotel directly. Also this hotel has quite a bit of homeless that sleep in the area so if you are out extra early or late - they are in several of the doorways."

"The stairs in the parking garage were disgusting and smelled of urine. The digital key didn’t work well, and the room key wouldn’t work in the elevator. "

"My neck and my back are killing me and the staff forgot to give me my breakfast vouchers until my 3rd day. Then they refused to compensate me instead told me to go to complain to "Expedia". Cool. Great service. The lobby restaurant is decent. The staff there was cool. Sit at the bar and have a handshake. "

"I mean, it’s a Gaylord Resort so you know it’s going to be impressive & have everything! This was our first actual stay at the hotel [March] but we’ve visited 2 times before around Christmas. At Christmas, visiting is SOOOOO worth it! The hotel is decked out for the holidays like you’ve never seen! In March, we were less impressed. Several of the coffee spots & shops were closed. Staff were not helpful in directing us to what actually was open. There was a huge conference kicking off the same night we arrived & the bars/restaurants were not staffed to handle the volume of people. Our room was just ok. It’s obvious how much traffic the hotel gets… our room was really roughed up around the edges. We saw the Opry show that night… it’s really convenient walking to/from the Gaylord from the Opry. That said, for the cost & the volume of lodging available in Nashville, I would not choose to stay at the Gaylord again. If you’re visiting the Opry, get an Uber to the Gaylord at 4P, grab a drink & explore the hotel, walk over to the Opry House at 6P and walk back to the Gaylord after the show for a post-show drink & to avoid the heavy vehicle traffic & Uber surge pricing before & after the shows. "

"It's not well marked and a little hard to find. It's actually in a business office building. The staff was super nice, the room was clean and beds were comfy. We loved the location and ability to walk everywhere. Wish we had known more about the airport shuttle as we rented a car, paid $50 for parking and didn't use it. "
