Plants abound on its Lookout Trail and Ethnobotanical Trail, but as “cloud supreme” (to which ‘Iao’s Hawaiian name translates), do know it’s best to arrive in the morning before the fog arrives. The hotel is not disabilities friendly….my mom had a hard time getting around and if she wanted to go to the pool would have to walk all the way around to get to the lower levels.
