"Overall price for this property was a tad bit higher in price than some of the cheaper ones but far better all around, it also included breakfast which was a plus. I have stayed in about 5 different motels during my trips to Springfield IL. We visit family there usually once a year and this property topped the rest. Very clean, safe, quiet and walkable to a few restaurants and has a Walmart beside it. We will be staying here on future visits."

"The desk staff was amazing! She put us in a quiet spot on the 3rd floor!! We were beyond exhausted when we arrived so we appreciated her finding us the perfect spot. However, the bathroom had probably not been cleaned before and the sink drain was plugged up. Took 10 min or so to drain. Breakfast was ok. "

"We were very happy to have such a clean room! Also, we were thrilled that pets were accepted. The hotel was not only clean, but it's a beautiful hotel. The antiques and bronze decor was an unexpected surprise. The lobby area very comfortable. I loved the "library" where you could sit and relax while listening to the fountain. The breakfast buffet was actually pretty good. Many times the included "breakfast" leaves much to be desired. But this one was well stocked and had a nice variety. There's a sundry area for incidentals, toiletries and snacks. The hotel has a restaurant but we had made other arrangements so I can't comment on that. There's an indoor pool and hot tub plus a gym. I would definitely stay at The Chateau again. In fact, I've already recommended it. "
