"La Bahía was a really good choice for our honeymoon. The location is excellent, right across from the Santa Cruz pier and beach, and the property felt newly renovated. Everything looked clean, fresh, and updated.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. We chose a partial ocean view instead of an accessible room because we wanted the better view, and it still worked well for us. For accessibility, the carpet was thick but manageable, the doorways were easy to get through in a manual chair, and the room felt spacious enough to navigate comfortably. The hotel is also right off the main street, which made it easy to roll up and down the boardwalk. There is an automatic door button outside the building, though not one inside, but staff were usually quick to help.
The pool and hot tub were standout amenities. The pool had a chair lift available, which I appreciated seeing even though I did not use it. The hot tub was especially easy to use. The hand rails made it much easier for me to lift myself up, move my legs over, and get settled without dealing with slippery tile or awkward entry.
Room service was also very good. The only downside during our stay was High Tide. We waited about 35 minutes for one plate of pesto rigatoni, and the interaction afterward with the waitress and manager felt a little awkward.
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and would absolutely come back."
"Was left dirty blankets from last cleaning we're just left out front of tent xabin lock was stiff hard to unlock needed some oil allot of money for what you get"
"One of our families favorite places to stay. Really can't say enough good things about this place The only criticism I have is the way they describe their rooms is kind of a bait and switch when you are reserving. For example during reservation you check out with a room described as the tower which by any practical description would indicate that you are going to be up in the tower. You don't really find out that the base level of this tower is also considered the tower. And it's also quite insincere due to the fact that apparently there's three levels of reservation in the tower. So if you're not aware of this when you are reserving your room you may end up on the bottom floor with some obstacles blocking your view. I really wish they would do a better job labeling the rooms so is not to become miffed that you're actually on the lobby floor as opposed to up in the tower."
