"There were homeless people out front making me feel very unsafe bringing my children in. Garbage everywhere, the breakfast was disgusting and old and the room felt like a prison. I would not recommend this hotel for families at all!"

"We had the worst sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel because the air conditioning wasn’t working and our room smelled like cigarettes. When we asked the front desk to fix the air conditioning, someone came and fixed it - and it worked for about 10 minutes before reverting to warm air again. When we told staff about our experience at checkout, they feigned sympathy but weren’t too bothered. We’ve never had a bad experience at the Tonquin before, and have always been eager to support anything but Pursuit … but yeesh … this stay was a hot, stinky stay."

"The rooms and hotel were clean. Staff are super friendly. The pool area is nice, and there are many restaurants to choose from in the hotel and in surrounding area. Walking distance of many amenities."

"Paid $200 for a very dirty room with bugs, wall paper was peeling off on many places, everything was old and poorly maintained, bathroom sink was broken and glued together. Ligh switch was dirty and sticky. AC was so old you could only turn on or off. I don't know how that hotel is still open. Breakfast was terrible, yogurt was expired and eggs were from a plastic bag premade that they just warmed up and served like that. I won't recommend it to anyone."

"Just minor issues, fitted sheet was not on properly, front desk didn’t text me when room was ready, but it was when I got back to the hotel. Rooms and room amenities were great."
