"Great stay"

"I've been a frequent guest of the Ibis Bogotá Museo since 2014. During my most recent stay, I paid the early check-in fee because I wanted to properly store my luggage and valuables in my room and leave for several meetings scheduled for the afternoon. Upon accessing my room, I put some of my valuables in the in-room safe. This type of safe has been used by the hotel ever since they opened. Nevertheless, the safe malfunctioned and could not be unlocked. It took me 2 calls, 2 in-person requests, and more than 2 hours to have the safe opened by staff, despite Ibis' advertised 15-min satisfaction guarantee. As expected, I couldn't make it to the meetings I had scheduled for the afternoon and wasted the money I paid for the 'early' check-in. Front desk staff gave all kinds of excuses, including having no maintenance staff on weekends at all (which means I was lied to during my first 2 calls), the hotel not having the 'tool' to unlock a malfunctioning safe (negligent security), and staff not having access to training videos on how to deal with this issue (inappropriate staff training). I was given the name of a manager, Mrs. Zuluaga, but was told that she was not on site. I explicitly requested that she'd contact me proactively, which never happened. The next day I asked twice to speak with her before checking out but I was denied. Don't expect any 'satisfaction guarantee' to ever be honored. It's all lies and deceptive advertising."

"Excellent hotel in walking distance to La Candelaria and other attractions. The pool, sauna and gym are great, the staff are all very helpful, and the breakfast changes daily. Bring ear plugs, noise from the hall can come into the room and there are some distant roosters. We would stay here again."

"Todo empezó con una recepcionista antipática, y luego empeoró. Lo único positivo fue el edificio nuevo y un apartamento bastante bonito, pero lo negativo eclipsó todo por completo. La extraña política para huéspedes (he pasado muchos meses en varios lugares de Colombia y sé cómo es). Los huéspedes necesitan autorización de la empresa, el edificio solo cuenta con personal de seguridad y es imposible contactar con la administración. No respondieron a mis mensajes durante una semana entera, lo que significó que seguridad no pudo dejar entrar a los visitantes. Además, el apartamento carecía de servicios esenciales y mis mensajes no fueron respondidos. Hotels.com finalmente contactó con el establecimiento, pero no recibió respuesta, así que fue un fracaso total. EL ESTABLECIMIENTO NO CORRESPONDE A LA DESCRIPCIÓN, NO HAY POSIBILIDAD DE RECIBO PARA VISITANTES, NO HAY CONTACTO Y SE HA INTENCIONADO AL CLIENTE."
