Nice old fishing little town,
In 1989, eight thousand acres in and around Cedar Key were added to the National Register of Historic Places in an attempt to preserve and protect the marshes and wetlands in Florida. An archeological park in the area provides evidence of early man's "shell cultures" that lived along these marshes thousands of years ago. It's the perfect place to slip into the water in a kayak (rentals are available in the area) and really experience the rhythm of life up close and personal.

Completely catfished. Property was gross and disorganized, staff was unhelpful at best, and in some cases, completely rude. And they have never returned the deposit for incidentals that we were charged.
