The Silver Lake Hotel at Ocracoke
10/10 Excellent
"The Silver Lake hotel was comfortable and in a great location. The sunset view was incredible but mostly I was impressed by the hard work and desire by the owner and her staff to deliver a quality product. For example, I appreciated the triple sheeting of the bedding, the welcoming attitude and the feeling that whatever I needed for a pleasant stay would and could be provided. Well done, I hope to return."
Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing
8/10 Good
"My husband and I had the pleasure to stay at Bask big Rock landing August 27th -29th. It was beyond our expectations. The room felt like we were at a fancy resort. The free room service breakfast was great. The water view from the balcony was so relaxing. The swings on the waterfront will make you feel like you could stay there all day. The staff was also great. They made sure that you felt welcomed and had everything that you needed. Dawn and Amanda, front desk, were so friendly and helpful. Everyday they remained the same. I could go on and on but I'll just say this, check it out for yourself. We are going back."
Beaufort Hotel NC
10/10 Excellent
"Everything great! Wonderful staff. Clean and accessible. Will be back."
Compass by Margaritaville Beaufort
10/10 Excellent
"Our family had three rooms and all parties commented on the most helpful staff - those at front desk but also including the room cleaners. Breakfast was so varied and fresh. Pool was clean and location was walkable to all sites in the village. The food at the bar is excellent and staff very accommodating. This is our 2nd stay this summer. And we will be back. (LOVE the key lime treats available all day!!)"
Pony Island Inn
8/10 Good
"The room is nice, clean, and spacious. It also has a kitchen and a dining table. However, the curtain cannot be fully closed. People outside might see things inside the room."
Ocracoke Harbor Inn
8/10 Good
"I stayed at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn for one night in late August recently. The staff was friendly & gave some good info about the island along with a map. The room was clean & had all the regular amenities plus a balcony facing the harbor. The room must have been insulated well because I didn't hear too much outside noise (maybe the other guests were really quiet like me). The mattress was very comfortable & this is the main reason why I'd stay at this location again. I took off one star because I didn't like the blinds covering the two big windows leading to the balcony (that faced the busy harbor). There was only one set of vertical blinds & I would have preferred another layer like a curtain for better privacy. This location is a good option."
Blackbeard's Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Blackbeard’s Lodge is full of charm. The bed was comfortable. The room was small and cozy. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. There was fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning. The host Cynthia was very nice and helpful. The location is convenient to restaurants, the beach and shopping. Definitely would stay again."
Magnolia House Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"If you plan to visit Oriental, you must stay at Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast! The innkeepers are so friendly and accommodating. They greeted me as I arrived and took me on a tour of the house explaining the available amenities. The house has a wrap around porch, perfect for relaxing in the evening (I stayed in August and was surprised by the mild evening temperature). I had to leave early morning and typically do not eat breakfast so they had breakfast bars and fruit available for me to grab and go. They also have a coffee and tea bar available 24/7 with snacks, wine, and beer. The entire house was beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable that once my head hit the pillow, I didn’t wake up until my alarm went off. I stayed in the Roe Suite and web pictures do not do it justice. It’s a large suite with two entrances, one leading directly to the room that has the drinks and snacks (very convenient). The sitting area has a large comfortable couch, tv, and bookshelves filled with books. The bath, with tiled floors, full-length mirror, large double sink counter space, separate shower and large tub, is as large as the bedroom! And I have to mention the location, right in the middle of town, walking distance to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants, and a short distance to the grocery store. The innkeepers have thought of everything including a welcome gift with chocolates and a package of Magnolia House coffee. I will definitely return."
