"Great little motel. It was conveniently located next to Boothbay Harbor, a quick walk. Rooms are older and dated as is the bathroom. Quiet stay. Office staff very kind and helpful."
"Beautiful spot and nice spacious room. Clearly orienting new staff and ramping up for the season. Disappointing was not accessing our room till 5:30pm after 5 hour drive and cold pools and hot tub with many babies and young children in it- an adult space would be nice. But love how family oriented the whole setting was and the spot and chairs to enjoy were great!"
"Pros: Excellent location, you can walk to almost all of the interesting tourist points or amenities Boothbay offers, or all of them if you are motivated. It was great to come back from the many 2-4hr boat trips to freshen up in my own bathroom rather than wait in a public queue at the dock. The room was clean & bug free, toiletries provided, with additional supplies freely provided on request when needed. The balcony access was fantastic- view overlooked the park & harbor & was an absolutely perfect view to wake up to & to end the day on before bed. Choices of restaurants were abundant & within walking distance to the Inn. PARKING WAS GUARANTEED- really important in this tourist area!!! Amazing staff- the whole area seemed to be tourist-friendly (albeit, tips are a constant driver).
Cons: Dated bathroom compared to other rooms in the same building- old tub with a snap cloth curtain w/liner that appeared old and used far too many times or simply not changed out where another room I saw during maid service had a bright white step in shower with glass sliding doors. The towels were laundered so often & most likely with so much bleach that they felt sticky of detergent residue, rough feeling and had apparent holes and thinning/tearing for some. There was dust on the fridge, lamps and tables but bathroom was very clean, which means secondary areas ignored possibly in busy times. The TV had cable- but was not a smart TV for bluetooth or streaming connectivity."
"Quick couples getaway to Boothbay Harbor to primarily go to the Botanical Gardens and visit the trolls.
We decided to splurge and stay in town for the convenience of not needing to find parking and just enjoy walking Boothbay.
Captain Sawyers made this very doable.
We were able to explore and walk to dinner both nights easily.
The room was small but we were first floor with a nice view and easy access to the nice porch.
Coffee and water were always out. Additionally, freshly baked cookies each day!
Breakfast was very nice, alternating between a more savory and more sweet offering.
The hosts were lovely and available to offer suggestions for possible things to do and places to capture photos.
Although we like to stay in many places in Maine, I would definitely return if we decided to stay in Boothbay again."
