"This is usually my go to hotel. This time my sink kept getting stopped up, the shower drain was loose, the toilet didn't want to flush, holes in the sheet that covered the bed and bugs flying everywhere."
"This is a lovely hotel, perfectly located on the beach and next to the ferry terminal. The rooms were lovely and clean and the staff really friendly. The restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel was an unexpected surprise and the food and service were amazing!
We just wished we had booked to stay longer. The photos of the hotel really don’t do it justice, it’s much nicer even in real-life."

"My boyfriend and I recently booked Sawmill Creek for two nights so we could visit Cedar Point. It exceeded our expectations every way. The grounds are lovely, and the hotel common spaces are so cozy. I heard it underwent a big renovation and it's clear they put in the work. The room was large, shower worked great, bed was very comfortable with a great pool view. I liked that it wasn't right up near the park, honestly - the short drive is nice and it made us try out a local diner. We didn't have enough time to try out the pool and hot tubs, but we did have apps, drinks, and dessert at Miller's Table which was also great. We will be back! "
"The drive to the park was super quick and easy. We dined out each night in downtown Sandusky. Loved every meal and restaurant. The town has such a friendly, easy going vibe and we loved all the old buildings and charm. We will definitely return."
"Check in was a little slow but we didn't mind. The room was nice and comfortable. It also had a pull out bed chair which was a nice surprise. The kids loved the water park . We didn't order any food instead ordered dominos. It was a lot cheaper. It looked like they had good food choices for decent prices though. Loved having a Starbucks in the hotel. There is a bbq restaurant you can walk outside too its basically attached. One thing i learned while we were checking out you can come before check in and enjoy everything while you are waiting on your room and also enjoy the water park the whole next day after check out."
