"My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at the Catalina Canyon Inn, and overall it was a great experience. The hotel itself was really nice, and the shuttle service was honestly such an underrated perk-it made getting to and from the hotel so easy without having to walk far. The food at the hotel was also really good, and our room was a great size. The bed was super comfortable, and having both a fridge and microwave was a big plus. There are just two things to keep in mind when booking. First, the room is very echoey-like, very echoey-so just be aware of that for privacy. I kicked my partner out every-time I went to the restroom honestly. Second, there were more bugs in the room than I expected. I understand it's surrounded by nature, but | did find myself dealing with bugs pretty often. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would definitely book again, especially because of how convenient the shuttle was."

"We booked a last minute trip, and this was the most affordable place. I had tried to contact the property, to inquire on utensils provided and beach towels, but could not get a hold of a live person (called 3 different times) and did not receive a response back from email message. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front window; a sign read out to lunch, please take keys. As soon as I walked into Townhome 112, the scent overcame me- it smelt like mildew. It felt like the room hadn’t been opened in sometime, like an old closet. We weren’t planning to spend too much time in the room, so we opened all windows to air out the smell. Upon returning to the room after an evening of walking, we saw little roaches scurrying around the kitchen floor. The next day, as we were sitting at the table eating breakfast, one of the little roaches came from under the table and made its way into the paper bag we had sitting on the table. The worst instance was my husband laying on the downstairs bed, and feeling a big roach crawl up his arm. He immediately flicked it off. We knew there must be a roach issue, as they were coming out in the day time, with a room full of people. I think there may also be a leak in this room, as we noticed drops from the upstairs bathroom drop into the first floor. Other than the room issues, the location was good. We didn’t know there was a balcony upstairs, so it was a nice surprise to have a partial ocean view."

"I just want to say that overall it was a very nice stay. The lobby is so pretty and the room, while on the smaller side, was cute and comfortable. A special recognition to Cesar in the luggage department who was so friendly and helpful …"

"They should show the bad rooms on their site and not the only good room of the hotel. The room I had didn't even have a phone to contact the front desk and the when I called on my cell to the main number, no one answers and it goes to the voice mail."

"The hotel is so cozy and cute! The site location is perfect."

"The walkway you see in the pics alone is worth the stay! The units are very comfortable and the kitchen has a gas stove, plates, cups, pots / pans and good size refrigerator. This is all nice because the only grocery on the island is a 3 minute walk (super close!) TV's in every room and the balcony / main entrance has French doors. It's beautiful. The shower is very small, as is the bathroom (unit 14), but serves it's purpose well. There is a 6 drawer dresser, two storage spaces with hangers (in different rooms) and a small breakfast table."

"The reception staff was not that friendly or that welcoming, even at check-in. It’s a nice property but I was just not impressed with their customer service, despite the nightly cost. This isn’t a motel 6, I expected a warm and cheery welcome. I wouldn’t stay here again just based solely on that. I want to come back to places that make me feel welcomed. The only positive is that the cleaning staff was friendly, my room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My guess is the front desk is over worked and they don’t have the capacity to hide it. I don’t want to place all the blame on the front desk staff but maybe upper management should take notice."
