"We had a lovely stay at Winstanley House, the staff and food at breakfast and in Black Iron were great! We asked for a quiet room as we are light sleepers and were given one which made us feel welcome as did our check in. Our room was very clean but there were a few marks on the wall and carpet including an iron mark, and the window frames had a few black marks from condensation which could have been wiped off. The mattress also had a dip in the middle and could do with replacing as we rolled...

Breakfast was very average the next morning which was disappointing especially after the night before. I had poached eggs and the yolk was almost hard and the sourdough dry without butter. "The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was also excellent. The meal was amazingly priced for 3 courses and the chief made the pudding from scratch. I would absolutely go back again and even if we disnt stay the night i could eat the chiefs food all day long every day"
