"the first thing that stuck us was how out of town this type of accommodation is. That applies to all Masseria hotels. The rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard. The rooms are basic and of reasonable size. There are no facilities for making tea/coffee. However, there is a fridge. A small sitting area is outside each room. There is no bar here and the restaurant does not open till 8 pm. the reception can provide wine or coffee. We bought our own beer and kept in in fridge in room....

"We really enjoyed our experience here in the "Hobbit House" While small it was generally well appointed, except for the self-catering being restrictive. The service was super friendly, the breakfast was good the hosts generous with their offerings and range of food. Good access to Alberobello and Matera for day visits."

"The property is very unique and the staff helpful. However, no one asked us to register, people were very relaxed about paperwork and didn't seem aware of our stay as we hqd to confirm it many yltimes. Staff helped ua load our vehicles and took our keys but nevwe asked to settle the bill. About an hoir later while we were well on our way, they called to ask us to pay. We gqve them our visa number and info but the demanded a cheque, money transfer or cash. Terrible. My nephew who had hia wedding...

Giardino dei Trulli Tenute was a perfect place for us after a long day of going around Matera, Alberobello and Bari Vecchia. The cosy trullo where we stayed is situated within the farm that gave us a genuine experience of its fascinating history. Breakfast was included. "Turi is an incredibly beautiful and peaceful city with lots of good restaurants, and we enjoyed our one night stay in the luxurious apartment, followed by a complimentary breakfast in a nearby cafe. This experience is much more authentic than our stays in the big hotel chains, and the owner made sure to provide free parking for us as well. "
