"The hotel is undergoing renovations and has already been rebranded to marriot but as it's not been updated on Google or hotel booking sites as such it caused confusion for many of our colleagues who were unsure if they've arrived at the correct hotel. The hotel lobby and restaurant are still a building site so it wasn't the most welcoming arrival. Breakfast area was also still under construction so very disruptive and limited seating. We've stayed here many times before but would have expected a clear message about the ongoing works and reflection on price. We booked 16 rooms for our business trip but after this stay unsure if we will stay again."

"Absolutely stunning place, that actually used to be owned by my family member, of whom I'm the last surviving one here, and I had no idea! I knew he was a well off local businessman, who I met lots as a little one in but I lost both of my parents so didn't get to know this, plus a previous generation fallout meant Set in such a beautiful setting, and really quiet. We were here over the hot bank holiday and it was very busy, but still really quiet which we were shocked about. Room was clean and bathroom was nice, only issue is our 'double' bed was actually two twins pushed together, of different heights, so my partner and I were rather uncomfortable,"
