katie at the front was always amazing & always had a great attitude even early in the am which is hard for most people . they had pots and pans & anything else you needed on hand . the rooms were very spacious, the bed was so cozy that you felt right at home . the ac system was amazing . the housekeeping staff was great as well

Ideal hotel

Nicely located hotel near the Carlsbad Village. Reasonably priced with the amenities we like. Kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, laundry room, pool(for summer) and close to shopping center.

Rooms with kitchen amenities

Plenty of space and kitchen was nice, but you had to know to ask front desk for dishes, mugs, glasses, silverware, or anything you would want in the kitchen. Bed was okay. Breakfast is Nutrigrain bars, small store bought muffins, and packets of instant oatmeal.

The unit I stayed in met my expectations. I wasn't looking for anything lavish. The location was perfect for visiting friends. The common facilities were good. The staff, particularly the desk clerks, were excellent. That was very appreciated.

I'd come back.

This place has improved from a month ago when I found a German cockroach on my icebox. Now pest free. Some of the plugs still don't work and you can smell cigarette smoke from other rooms because of bathroom vents being inter connected but slept well which means everything to me! Now have nutrigrain bars as well.

Carlsbad 5000 stay

We ran the Carlsbad 5000 on Sunday. The start for all the races is just down the street about a block. Was very conveniently located and very walkable. Will stay here again next year. See you next April. Was nice to catch a sunset instead of long drive home right after the race.
