"A true country estate turned into a wonderful hotel on 200 acres with a river winding around just 50!yards from the back door. Stunning views!"

"The quality and friendliness of this hotel was up to its usual high standards. Good choice for breakfast, full English was tasty and filling. The only downside we found was the bar, poor service, selection of cocktails and some prices were expensive. To the point we found a lovely friendly wee pub 5 minutes from the hotel and chose to go there instead for drinks."

"B.P. Lodge has had a chequered history in recent years. Wonderfully it seems to be in good, caring hands right now. En-route from the Scottish Highlands to Kent - it makes an ideal overnight stay with a good evening meal available if you want one. Pooch-friendly Room 11 is lovely. It’s at the rear of the property, so no noticeable traffic noise from the busy main road at the front. We received a great welcome & D.V. look forward to returning "

"Special mention to receptionist to Kelly who was a superstar, after a little bit of stressful situation with car parking this was easily resolved when Kelly gave directions to myself on how to gain access to the car parking on site. "The hotel is located just out the Railway Station Door. We were able to drop our bags, as we arrived earlier in the day. Convenient to see the Cathedral & Castle. Staff was very helpful, I take a medicine that must be refrigerated and they stored it for me. The real problem is the There is no A/C. Our room had the full afternoon sun and was over 80 degrees. They did provide a fan, but it was a sauna. We did go down to the lounge which was comfortable. This hotel did have an elevator, big plus...
