"I really enjoyed my stay. It was extremely comfortable. There were only a few hiccups. Diego and Yukiery were very accommodating at the front desk but I was given paper to sign that was in Spanish. I had to ask for the manager before getting it in English. I wasn't given a welcome drink when I checked in on Monday, but when I checked out on Thursday, guest were given welcome drinks. I was greeted with a cool towel which was nice.
My room and the property were very clean and I loved having a hot tub on the balcony. Shout-out to housekeeping. Staff was amazing! Diana was a fabulous server. Rafael and Julion made delicious drinks. Angelo and Benjamin always made sure I had drinks in my hand when sitting at the beach.
The beach is ugly in July. You won't get in the water because there is too much seaweed (to no fault of the hotel). It wasn't a problem for me because I took a beach excursion by Hispaniola Adventures. Live Aqua has many pools. One was more of a party pool and the others were more quiet. So, I enjoyed that. The pool closes at 6:30. I wish they stayed open a little longer.
Food was decent. There are many options and they don't take reservation... which I like. The Mexican restaurant took over an hour. So, I left, but the Mediterranean was amazing! This was such a nice stay. It was everything that I needed... except for a beautiful beach."
"Everything was easily accessible, and the after dinner show was great way to end an enjoyable day at the beach or the pool. Dining options were excellent and the service was good, however the Mexican restaurant food quality and service could have been better, but it did not spoil the enjoyment. This is a large resort, everything is within a short walking distance and easy to navigate. The resort has something for everyone, active bar areas and quiet beach front. Overall we enjoyed our week at the resort. "
