"Unsure what makes this an eco retreat aside from the fact they ask you to bring your own water bottle to refill with water they provide and there is no hot water for showers. The property has a lot of potential but it felt maybe slightly neglected. There was a lot of debris on the ground, the kitchen area was really dirty and the room had rusty racks and shower curtains that allowed water to spray out all over the floor. "Stayed here a week, our first time in Costa Rica. Great location if you’re looking for the surf town vibe, breakfast buffet was good- staff seemed a little lacking in customer service at times but we found a couple who were gems! Beach side of resort has different vibe than the location across the street. Much quieter on that side. Enjoyed our experience and would come back. The excursions and hotel transportation we booked were cheaper NOT booked through the resort."

"Stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The property is very well maintained and the rooms are well appointed. The beach is very safe and the water is shallow for a long time. Great spot for kids to play in the sand and water. The best thing about this experience was the staff - they were very helpful and went above and beyond in almost every interaction. Great property super close to Liberia airport."
