"Near banff"

"Topical 1980’s property. Has seen a few upgrades but flooring was separated and lots of old carpet that adds to the musty/ mildew oder. Couch has seen far better days and we had a fur critter peep out from under it. No AC, there are fans. The supplies are limited and lack basic essentials like sharp knives (could cut a plastic bag), spatulas, plastic wrap… the condo was clean but the chairs outside were very dirty and there was mold of some kind in the upstairs bathroom all around the caulking and in some of the grout. The gym has equipment older than me. We enjoyed the walk to town from the property. Note: the staff was notified about the rodent and they offered to move us but we didn’t want to pack everything up. Think this is an ongoing issue. A couple resident kittens could help them out."

The Fox Hotel and Suites

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was nice but the room and amenities were quite dated. The hotel is on Banff Ave and is about a 15 minute walk to downtown. They do provide the guests with bus passes so they don't have to pay for parking downtown. We loved the fact that it was more on the residential side so street parking was easy to find and it was quiet at night. We had a treat one night when a bunch of deer showed up at our steps and started eating the grass right outside our room."

Otter Hotel

8/10 Good

"The rooms were modern and clean. The complimentary coffee service was nice. The fridge was nice to have, but there was no microwave, which is usually a standard feature. The mattresses were also too stiff for my liking. However, the restaurant on site was very nice and the food was delicious. The location was very good and made it easy to get to points of interest."
