"I really like the Gonville, but too many niggles spoiled this visit. 1/ no one picked up the phone when I rang ahead in the afternoon. 2/ no hot water on arrival. 3/ strange mechanical noise at night required earplugs 4/ still no hot water the next day. I would go back, but they won’t get many chances like this."

"Room was nice, modern and quiet. The only issues were (I) that the king bed barely fit in the one bedroom apartment (was very hard to get in and out) and (II) while we put a please clean sign for the room both days that we went out, it was never cleaned."

"Helpful staff upon arrival and the room was as expected and very clean however the space in the corner could have been occupied by a chair or couch for additional seating otherwise it had what was required of a room in a hotel. We thought the drinks bar in the dining room was rather expensive though & also an extra charge for parking put 30 pounds on the bill for 3 nights. All in all a good stay."
