"A friend asked me if I would recommend the hotel and I was torn, Yes or No Pros: Beautiful hotel, food amazing, and good service. Cons: Booked the Jr. King suite for an average night rate of $1,300+ per night, and all we could hear was the highway. The hotel is behind a busy highway, and room 1223 is not worth paying so much for if you want peace and quiet and want to hear the ocean. We asked to be moved to another room a few times and were told that all the junior suites were on the sides of the building and that we would hear the highway, so we were not moved or accommodated. We felt like they basically said, " Deal with it." We were there for 7 days, so that's all we heard, highway noise the whole time. We even asked other people staying on different floors, and they said they could hear the highway. Hydro sessions do not require appointments. That's not a good idea. There are so many people going to the spa for hydro, and the attendants are handling so many people at a time; they do not explain each step, or the reasons why, or each stage of the process. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle of following people around and not knowing why you are in different areas and rooms during the session. I have been at other hotels that offer this experience, and I would rather pay for the Hydro session. Unfortunately, I will never return to the hotel. They need to make it known that they are behind a highway! Maybe their other hotels are not behind highways."

"Great clean and quiet resort for family-friendly vacations. Right on the beach which isn't crowded. Also less than 30mins to downtown if you want to experience the partty scenes. "

"Excellent room with fantastic ocean view. Ongoing construction of the main garden and new restaurant is extremely noisy. Wish we knew this before booking. Also, main entrance to the complex from the highway lacks lighting and it is on a dangerous bend. "

"The experience did not live up to the luxury reputation or price point. The stay started off poorly when we were initially greeted by a timeshare salesperson instead of a welcoming hotel representative. It immediately created an uncomfortable and overly sales-driven first impression, which is not what you expect when arriving at a high-end resort. The butler service was also disappointing. Responses were inconsistent, delayed at times, and overall not very helpful. For a resort that promotes elevated service, the communication and attentiveness fell far below expectations. The room itself was surprisingly small and poorly designed. The closet layout in particular was inconvenient and impractical, making it difficult to comfortably organize belongings during the stay. For a luxury property, the room amenities and functionality felt like an afterthought. Another major disappointment was the condition of the property grounds. Many of the natural plants and landscaping appeared dried up and poorly maintained, which took away from the beauty and atmosphere the resort tries to portray online. Additionally, several of the restaurants felt dormant and lacked energy or ambiance, making the resort feel less vibrant and lively than expected. Overall, for the extremely high price point, the experience simply did not justify the cost. Between the aggressive timeshare introduction, underwhelming service, poor room design, and lackluster atmosphere, I would not recommend staying here."
