Hotels near Butterfly Bogs Wildlife Management Area

"We stayed after a wedding in Toms River on 3/21/26. The place was packed with other weddings with kids in attendance. The hotel was just ok, needs a major update. We were able to get back to the hotel and ‘try’ to sleep. The hallways were very noisy. And it sounded like kids running up and down the Hallways, they were very loud with people running up and down. We needed to check out of the hotel by 11am, so once we were able to get a little sleep, we were soon woken up for checkout and on our way to AC Airport. We were scrambling, throwing our suit case together to be able to be out on time and off to the airport. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to get a good nights sleep."

"Decent stay. Friendly staff. The location of our room was adjacent to the highway and you could hear a lot of loud engines in the evening. Then on the second night the guests upstair made for a noisier night as you could hear every step they took. All in all we still got a decent night sleep as things quieted down by midnight. Room was a nice size. Older decor and a slight musty odor. Breakfast was breads and cereals, no complaints as it was free. Only went for a slice of toast on the first morning. Some restaurants and shopping nearby but a larger selection is 20 minutes away. "

"The room smelled of smoke, the cupboard door fell off when I opened it, the towels and face cloths were old, thin and barely white. The bathroom door had dark stains all along the edge, where people had held the door. The windows were dirty. I decided not to spend the night and checked out the same day. I did not use the room. "

"I only came for one day while needing some quiet time to get work done, so I can’t speak to some of the negative reviews I’ve seen online, but I had a decent experience. The staff was cordial, the room was clean, and I liked my little patio area that faced the courtyard. The hotel shares space with a pub/restaurant, but it wasn’t rowdy or sketchy during my stay and I didn’t feel unsafe at all. (Then again, I’m from NYC 😛)"

"Honestly, it was a great place to stay! Very clean, staff was great, parking was good, no issues with the neighbors and overall great experience. Would reserve again. Highly recommend this spot. "
