"When we arrived we wàs informed that the lift was out of order, the receptionist ( owner i think) was really helpful and shown us two different rooms to change to.the continental breakfast was free ,which was lovely. The hotel was in a great location for all the bars etc, shame about the street, lot of hotels abandoned but having said that well worth the money at the arncliffe and would definitely return. "

"We were visiting Anfield for the Legends game, so found this lovely guest house. Very clean, very comfortable with everything you might need. The kitchen is really nice, such a good idea (we didn't need to use it) Bathroom is spacious & the 1st floor shower is lush!! Definitely recommend "

"Hotel.com didn't process booking correctly luckily Richard the owner phoned me and informed me and sorted it out over phone so our weekend wasn't ruined. If your expecting the Ritz go somewhere else if you want cheap clean and comfort go to the aysgarth hotel. Location is perfect 2 minute walk to beach or central pier. "It was more affordable than other places near the centre, only 5-10 minutes walk to Lime Street station. The apartment was clean and quiet too and check-in was straight forward. Only issue I had was a very uncomfortable bed that made a lot of noise every time you moved because it was a fold-away bed. They had put a mattress topper on to try and help but did not sleep well. Fine for one night but I wouldn't want to sleep there for consecutive nights on that bed. "
